XPS – X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

XPS is a surface analysis method in which X-ray radiation releases electrons from the outermost atomic layers, and their energy is measured. This allows chemical composition and bonding states in the outermost nanometers of a layer to be determined very precisely.
